Working to make Hexham a vibrant, enterprising and adaptable market town in the 21st century. The partnership has worked with partners to develop this website and organises many of the events which take place in the town throughout the year. It owns and operates the town’s Forum Cinema which it has managed as a social enterprise since 2007.

Owned by the community, this art deco cinema operates as a social enterprise. You can enjoy a drink in our licensed café with a wonderful view of the Market Place. The auditorium offers an authentic 1930’s cinema experience, but with the latest digital equipment, 3D facility and a programme including live satellite transmissions of opera, ballet and theatre.

A group working for Tynedale to become more self-sufficient and sustainable in growing food, cycling and sharing transport, and microgeneration of energy. Join us for our meetings - 7:30pm first Wednesday of the month, Scott’s Café, at the Forum Cinema. Check our website for projects.

Do you like to sing? Visitors always welcome at the Tynedale Community choir’s regular Monday evening sessions. 8 – 9.30 pm (term time), St Aidan’s Church, Hencotes and afterwards in the Tap and Spile pub. Wide repertoire, no need to read music.

Hexham’s twin towns are Noyon, near Paris (photo left) and Metzingen, near Stuttgart. Each year our association organises a visit to one and hosts visitors from the other, as well as offering a programme of social events throughout the year for our members and friends.
